Preschool Program
Our Preschool Program is designed to help children build a strong foundation for kindergarten and beyond in a warm, play‑based environment. We combine early academics with creative exploration, social‑emotional learning, and plenty of movement so preschoolers grow in confidence, independence, and school readiness.
Every preschooler arrives with their own strengths, interests, and pace of learning. Our teachers get to know each child personally and use that understanding to plan activities that are engaging, appropriately challenging, and supportive of each child’s next steps.
What we focus on
A day in our Program
Early Literacy & Communication
Children explore letters, sounds, vocabulary, and storytelling through read‑alouds, guided writing, conversations, and dramatic play. We focus on listening, speaking, and early reading readiness in ways that feel fun and inviting.
Math & Thinking Skills
Preschoolers build early math skills by counting, sorting, comparing, measuring, and recognizing shapes and patterns. Everyday activities—like calendar time, games, and building projects—help them practice number sense and problem solving.
Science & Exploration
Simple science activities and nature exploration encourage children to observe, ask questions, test ideas, and notice how things work. We use hands‑on experiments, sensory play, and outdoor learning to spark curiosity about the world.
Creativity, Art & Music
Open‑ended art, music, movement, and pretend play give children space to express themselves and develop imagination. We provide varied materials and experiences so children can create, perform, and explore different ways of communicating ideas.
Social‑Emotional & Independence Skills
Through daily routines, group work, and guided problem solving, preschoolers practice sharing, turn‑taking, empathy, self‑regulation, and responsibility. We help them build independence in tasks like following directions, caring for materials, and working with peers.
Morning Welcome & Choice Time
Children are greeted warmly and invited to choose from familiar activities, such as building, drawing, or reading. This helps them transition smoothly into the school day and feel ownership of their learning.
Circle Time & Group Learning
Short group sessions include songs, stories, calendar, discussion, and simple mini‑lessons. We use this time to build attention, listening skills, and a sense of community while introducing key concepts for the day.
Learning Centers & Small‑Group Work
Preschoolers rotate through centers like literacy, math, science, art, and dramatic play. Teachers work with small groups to focus on specific skills, giving each child more targeted support and challenge.
Snack, Routines & Quiet Time
Healthy snacks, bathroom breaks, and quiet rest or relaxation time are built into the schedule. These routines support self‑care skills, calm transitions, and a balanced day that includes both activity and downtime.
Outdoor Play & Gross Motor Activities
Daily outdoor play and movement games let children run, climb, explore nature, and practice cooperation in a larger space. These activities support physical development, social skills, and joyful expression.
